OAK was established to address the institutional gap that exists between validated technology and sustainable industrial commercialization.

Within the current innovation ecosystem, every participant performs only part of the journey. Universities generate knowledge. Researchers develop technologies. Investors provide capital. Manufacturers focus on production. Governments create policy. Very few institutions assume responsibility for transforming validated technologies into sustainable industrial enterprises.

Every year, thousands of new technologies emerge from universities, research institutions and technology-driven companies. Many successfully complete research, technical validation, prototype development and even pilot-scale production. Yet only a small fraction evolve into sustainable industrial enterprises.

This challenge is not unique to a single country or industry. It is a structural issue shared by innovation ecosystems around the world. For many years, the common assumption was that this gap resulted from a lack of capital, insufficient technology or limited market demand.

The problem was rarely the technology itself. It was rarely the quality of scientific research. And it was not always the availability of investment capital. In many cases, the technology existed. The investors existed. The market demand existed. Yet projects continued to stall somewhere between validated technology and sustainable industrial execution.

The missing element was neither technology nor finance. It was an institution capable of integrating governance, industrial planning, ownership structures, Operating Company formation, investment readiness and long-term commercialization into a coherent and repeatable process.

OAK was never created to compete with universities, venture capital firms, incubators or manufacturing companies. It was established to address the institutional gap that exists between validated technology and sustainable industrial commercialization.

Why OAK exists

Throughout this journey, researchers, engineers, inventors and technology entrepreneurs repeatedly developed remarkable innovations. Many had successfully validated their technologies. Some had established pilot production lines. Others possessed technologies fully capable of competing in international markets. Technically, they were ready. Commercially, however, very few succeeded in building sustainable industrial enterprises.

My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering (Hardware), followed by graduate studies in Organizational Management. Today, I am pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at the Faculty of Management, University of Tehran.

Alongside my academic career, I have spent many years as a founder, business owner and investor in ventures operating across industrial manufacturing, advanced technology, polymer industries, legal services and investment development.

Today, this framework serves not only as the conceptual foundation of OAK Foundation, but also as the subject of my doctoral research in Business Administration.

Its mission is to build the governance structures, industrial capabilities and institutional mechanisms required to transform validated technologies into investment-ready Operating Companies. This is the Institutional Industrialization Framework (IIF™).

The future of innovation depends on more than creating better technologies. It depends on creating better institutions — capable of transforming scientific achievement into sustainable industries, enduring enterprises and long-term economic and societal value.
